Our traditional buttermilk is buttermilk in its true form!
This buttermilk is a liquid byproduct of the butter-making process. It is not like the thick product sold in stores as "buttermilk." Traditional buttermilk has a thin texture and is usually milky beige in color.
True buttermilk made the traditional way is rich in beneficial lactic acids, bacterial enzymes, and very low in lactose. For these reasons, it is usually tolerated well by those who may be lactose intolerant.
