Without our health we have nothing, and without a healthy environment we do not have health.

Take a minute and just let that really sink in….

In our day to day lives we get very caught up in the trivial, and we can forget what really matters.

When you experience true debilitating sickness it really puts this into perspective. Without our health we cannot even appreciate or truly enjoy the trivial and little things in life because illness can be so all consuming.

Chronic illness is not our natural state, but has become normalized, and even expected in our society.

And pollution, depletion of soil and resources, chemicals, and so on are not the natural state of the earth either, but these are things we have come to see and accept in exchange for our modern conveniences.

But at what cost?

Why isn’t everyone making the health of our one and only earth and the health of our one and only bodies the TOP priority?

Sometimes we just need a little reminder or push to do our part, and so I just wanted to share:

5 quotes to boost your inner environmentalist!

“Earth provides enough to satisfy every man's need, but not every man's greed.” -Gandhi

“To damage the earth is to damage your children.” - Wendell Berry

“When one tugs at a single thing in nature, he finds it attached to the rest of the world..” -John Muir

“Earth is our environment to protect and the garden to tend.” -Pope Francis

“We have forgotten how to be good guests, how to walk lightly on the earth as its other creatures do.” Barbara Ward

And one more bonus quote to really get you charged:

“If you do not like your environment, then change it!” - Napoleon Hill

I know the environmental issues going on can feel SSOOO BIG, too big for any one person to make any kind of impact.

But the greatest threat to our planet is the belief someone else will save it!

We all have to do our parts, big and small, and then that will add up to create huge and positive change.

Beiler Family Farm is passionate about restoring the health of the land and supporting the health of our bodies.

One reason that Farmer Jonas began regenerative farming is because he grew up conventional farming. He saw first hand the damage those practices did to the land, and to his own personal health.

For a farmer to take the leap from conventional to regenerative is a BIG deal.

There is a lot of pressure in the farming industry to be a certain way. And often “earth friendly” farming is looked down upon by other farmers.

But once you truly see what is happening to the earth and to human health as a result of unsustainable conventional farming practices, there is really no other choice than to change.

By supporting a small regenerative farm you are supporting the earth and your health. You are making change for the better, and thank you for that!

Keep going! Together we can continue to support the earth through regenerative farming practices and simultaneously enjoy thriving health.

In a world of infinite possibilities, let’s choose the best!

Enjoy the food,

-Sara

In a world of foods designed to hack our brains, where can we find true pleasure?

Why do we like food? Put simply, we like food because it tastes good. When we think about tasty food we tend to think about pleasure, and pleasure is good right? Yes, it is. But, pleasure is actually an element of survival and that is why we seek it out. That is also why big food companies spend big money creating foods that light up the pleasure centers of our brains. These days many of us don’t think about the survival aspect of food. More often it is about convenience and taste.

Foraging on the farm!

As you know, Beiler Family Farm produces a lot of amazing farm fresh products! Nutritious foods like grass-fed meats, raw dairy, and yummy garden grown fruits and veggies are the farm bread and butter. But did you know?
